As IRS enforcement takes the spotlight in political agendas, tax professionals need to be more informed and educated than ever before. One way for tax preparers to remain connected to the industry and receive the information necessary to complete accurate and timely returns for the hardworking taxpayers of America is to join a professional association.
The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the leading association for tax preparers in the country, believes all taxpayers should be supported by caring and well-educated tax professionals. With 23,000 members who uphold a superior standard of ethics and professional excellence, NATP exists to be the most reliable resource for gaining and developing professional tax expertise.
NATP offers three membership level tiers so tax pros can get the support they need to perform their job with excellence. All membership levels include NATP’s TAXPRO Weekly email newsletter, membership to a local state chapter, discounted and free education, and study materials to begin earning an enrolled agent designation or an AFTR – Record of Completion. All membership levels include annual due diligence and ethics education worth 4 CPE, as well as four online education offerings to help members meet and exceed their business goals.
Additional benefits included with two membership levels are the association’s printed monthly and quarterly publications, a 2 CPE webinar on a tax topic of choice and a subscription to TheTaxBook WebLibrary Plus online research tool.
Tax professionals looking to learn more about NATP or join should visit natptax.com. Taxpayers looking for a preparer who is an NATP member can use the association’s online search tool.
